March 19, 2009Disappointment and Excitement = FOB
yikes, its been a long time, almost a year. haha. I suppose I'll get back to this thing. The only reason I've been neglecting it is because the only people who want to me my friend are the models and crap you want to be on the front page of this shit and want internet fame and crap. It's pathetic, really. Do something more productive with your time. Don't waste mine.
Anywho, I've decided that I'm finally going to upload all the pictures that I have from concerts over the past year! Exciting isn't it? I've got pictures from eight concerts. It would be more if I didn't do some stupid things like forget my camera for the Plain White T's & The Cab show, or forget my memory card for the All Time Low show. However, I did get a few on my phone from that show. I'm going to the Believer's Never Die Tour next month, honestly I'm excited and a little disappointed. I'm excited because it's been two years since Fall Out Boy has brought their asses to my town, even though they promised they come back last year, yeah, never happened. It will be my fourth time seeing them live. The only time I missed their show in my town was when I had to sing the national anthem at my school's homecoming game. Blah. Unfortunately, I've never gotten the chance to meet my biggest inspiration in music. I remeber the first time I ever saw FOB...fucking no one knew who they were. It'll be my fifth time seeing Cobra Starship, my third seeing Hey Monday and Metro Station and my second seeing All Time Low. So, I'm excited. Onto my disappointment. I am a member of the Overcast Kids. As many other members know there is three levels of membership. Gold being the lowest. I fall in the middle of the three levels. Now, there was a code sent out for the pre-sale of these tickets, the higher two levels going out first and the pre-sale starting the day before the gold level. Now, as a member, I was really excited because I thought this would finally be my chance to get to meet them. Now, the day the tickets went on sale, I was sitting in the airport for a 12:20 flight when the tickets went on sale at 12:00. I remember them lining people up to board the plane as I was sitting on the computer constantly refreshing the page so I would get my tickets and have a better chance of receiving meet and greet. I got my tickets, yay..however I know someone who is a gold member who took their friends higher level code and bought tickets, winning meet and greet. As I'm sure most of who have guessed, I didn't. I don't quite think its fair when people cheat to get it. I mean, yeah you probably think I'm just complaining about pointless things, but seriously, if you were in my boat, it wouldn't be pointless. She's never seen these guys live, and I guess its just the luck of the draw, but seriously, I don't find it fair that someone who cheated gets the prize. While the ones who play be the rules suffer. It just sucks. Perhaps in another 5 years I might be able to meet them. Mmkay, I'm done complaining now. Maybe after I get out of work and don't get annoyed with the uploader on this site like I did the last time I tried uploading pictures, you guys will get a glimpse of some concert pictures. But if my luck runs thins again, until next time, Stay Gold, Motherfuckers, Stay Gold.

February 29, 2008Soundoff!Ahh, it's that time again, time for me to complain, get excited or drone on about different topics. here's the buzz for this time: 1. Jeffree Star- I've just listened to the new song. I know, I'm behind the time, but atleast I've listened to it right? I like it! It's catchy and has a good beat. It's a little different than my usual suff, but it's good. Jeffree's got a good thing going. Watch out world, Jeffree Star is coming. Jeffree, you rock my socks. (even if most of your wardrobe consists of a color I absolutely dispise =P) 2. So, Simple Plan's new sound. Does it correspond to Pierre's new hair-do and full sleeve? Who knows. P.S. Pierre, sleeve's are hot. Anywho, I do know that as a fan of their old music when I was younger, I'm still a fan of the new self-titled album. Love it or hate it? Let me know. 3. So, I just bought tickets to see Paramore and Jimmy Eat World, then I hear that Paramore's breaking up?! Hold on. Let's ignore all this kiddy bullshit and go straight to the source. www.paramore.net I've read both entries by Hayley. Her comment about her "eggo is not preggo" made me laugh. I also read Zac's entry and I'm glad to see that this extra time is helping the band out. It's prolly a cool thing that some fans aren't spreading false rumors too. 4. Taste of Chaos- okay, my RTOC date is only 21 days away. Who's super excited? That would be me! I've got early admission tickets, thanks to a lovely group on Buzznet. ^_^ I'm really excited to see both A7X and Atreyu as well as Bullet for my Valentine. I'm hoping to talk to atleast one of the bands (that might be impossible seeing as how every radio station is giving away meet and greet passes and I am extremely unlucky when it comes to winning contests), and get some good pictures to put up on here. 5. Now don't get freaked out, don't exit the browser, my next topic is, ta-da, Gay Rights. Why is it so wrong to be gay, lesbian or bisexual? I myself am straight, but I 100% support anyone's decision because that's exactly what it is, their decision. It's certainly not a mental disorder and I don't think it's weird. I've had just about enough of people talking shit about being a "fudgepacker" or shit like that. If you don't like it, that's great, keep your damn mouth shut. We don't run our mouth about shit you choose. Everyone wears different clothes, everyone listens to different music, everyone has different friendsm so why can't people have different choices in whom they choose to love?? P.S. If your gunna comment saying shit about this blurb, take it to someone who cares, because you're just like all the other ignorant people, thanks. ^_^ 6. Straightedge- I've just read an article out this on one of my many websites. A lot of the comments on the article opened my eyes. I am, infact, straightedge. It's a choice I made, not anyone else. I made it a year ago, when seeing all my friends continue to get wasted, puke their guts out and fuck random dudes. That's just not me. One boy commented that all people that claim to be straightedge are full of shit, following the crowd and "scene". God, I hate labels. Straightedge is for anyone who wants to commit to it. Don't bash it, it's not worth your breath, or anyone else's time. 7. Metro Station- I had listened to these guys just a bit before I saw them on The Really, Really Ridiculously Good Looking Tour and fell in love. Have you seen the new video for "Control"? If not, go to Metro Stations Buzznet and check it out. It's an amazing song and an amazing video. Looks like it was a shitload of fun to make. Count me in anyday. These guys better be coming to see me again soon! 8. My Chemical Romance is on tour again! Woo-hoo! Oh, wait. They're not coming to my city, again. Anyone remember back in May 2007 when he gusy got food poisoning? They moved a bunch of shows and cancelled one. The one in my city. So you can understand my frustration when I find out they're not coming. I've been dying to see these guys, and yet again, I can't. Come on guys, please?? Okay, that's all for today. If I should find something more to complain about, I shall update again. Until the next soundoff, Stay Gold, Caitlin

January 31, 2008Questions?Okay, There are a few things that deff. need to be mentioned. 1. Miley Cyrus - She's what? Fourteen? She's got a crapload of money and more people adoring her than most people her age. Good for her, she's talented. ( Even if her tour is advertised on every radio station known to man. I'm slightly getting annoyed with 'The Best of Both Worlds' Anyways...) Pictures. Everyone has pictures. One set of hers happen to be of her and a friend having a good time. So what? I'll be the first to admit that I've had pictures of me and my friends on the web. But hell, we're having a good time. We're a bit crazier than her. But because she's a 'household name' she gets crap for it.Oh yeah, and the picture of her in her underwear. Total teenager moment. Though, I am not one of the many people who's photographed themselves in their undies, I totally understand it. Take a browse through myspace or even here on buzznet. Pictures of girls in their underwear? Check. But, are they criticized and scrutinzed for it? Didn't think so. So people need to let Miley live. She's a teenager. Back off! 2. The number one media headliner in the past six months - Britney Spears - God only knows what went wrong with Ms. Britney. I must say, by the way the media puts it, she sure sounds out of her mind to me. But let's think back to our conversation about Miley Cyrus. If Britney Spears were anyone else in the world, would you care? Didn't think so. Everyday a mother has her kids taken away from her. Everyday people are diagonsed with disorders. But because Brit's the once sought after 'not so innocent school girl' everyone's on her case. Paparazzi need to back off and let the woman get the help she needs. Because let's be honest, she does. I think that's the only negative things I have to talk about right now. So, let's move on to the positives. 1. Can anyone say Panic at the Disco?! Hello! Wake up and smell the flowers! I've been eagerly awaiting the release of their sophmore album. I don't know if they had anything to do with it, but their website since before the start of the new year had people in anticipation. First a puzzle, only one piece highlight in a grey color. Hover your mouse over and you recieve a small snipbit of a song. And the 01:01:08 in the corner. Damn you Panic. On the first day of the new year, two more pieces are grey! Oh my. One doesn't do anything. The other is a link, where else but their myspace. Revealing a song entitled 'We're so Starving'. Sounds like a joke to me. Low and behold, the man behind bringing Panic into our lives, Mr. Pete Wentz, reveals it is nothing more than a joke, an intro to the album. Cute. Then, the website changes. A series of boxes are lined up. With a P spaced away from an O. The tab on the top of my browser reads 01:10:08. More waiting. Then, like a million boxes appear. Scroll down the page and you get a little fill in the blank thingy. Scroll all the way down and you see Pretty. Odd. 03:25:08. New album! Total excitement from all the fan girls inserted here. Next day, they're heading the Honda Civic Tour! Then the puzzle appears again on their website. this time a piece is actually filled in. in color! Purple to be exact. Another piece is revealed on their myspace the next day, then for a few days after that, everytime you click on a puzzle piece you get another piece until the whole album cover it revealed. Wait for tour mates. Reveal: Motion City Soundtrack, The Hushsound, and HCT alum, Phantom Planet. More waiting for release dates. Finally they come and oh snap, the boys are bringing their flowery (yet adorable) butts to my town. Next event: The release of the long awaited new single: Nine in the Afternoon. My opinion: it's an awesome song. I fell in love with it. It's different, yet similar to their old stuff. I think it's displays Brendon's gorgeous voice perfectly. Presales start... my city's presale doesn't start for another two weeks. Damn. Somewhere is there, they started the Nokia contest too. Win a trip to be in Panic's video out in L.A. and meet the band. I had to enter, not that I'd ever win. But, still. haha. So, I guess to sum up this paragraph from hell, Panic likes games, but keeps their fans on their toes. Also, What do you say we have a funeral for the "!"?
Until my next rant, Stay Gold, Caitlin

December 17, 2007oh my, oh my, how long it has been dear buzznet...
so, i decided i needed to tell you people about my day on wed.
why you ask? i went and saw Boys Like Girls. That's why. okay, so here's the story: my friend Lindsey and I left our college at 12. We went to the bank and out to eat. then we went to the concert venue. it was like 1:15ishhh. there were two girls already sitting there. so, we got out the blankets and shit and went and sat down next to them. we were chillen for a bit, listening to some Cobra Starship, when Lindsey went and got hot chocolate for everyone. Then we got to know the girls next to us, talking about different shows we've been to and shit. Then a white limo drives by. We're all like "who the fuck is driving here in a limo?" so, linds goes into the dollar store next door and heard the manager talking. he was behind the plaza thingy and sure enough, it was Boys Like Girls in the limo. So, we're sitting there talking and the limo drives by twice more, speeding up as it passes us, like we're gunn jump the fucking limo er something. so we got pissed. well, britney and stacy went and got some chips and soda. then we saw the limo coming again. so, britney got pissed and went to throw her chips at it, when the limo slowed down and stopped. we all looked to the back and noticed that the window was rolled down. by the time we all looked, it was being rolled back up by Martin. aka the lead singer of Boys Like Girls for those of you who don't already know. So, then Fly 92 shows up. Ew. Then we hear one of the from Fly saying that BLG was starting soundcheck. so we moved over to the glass door and watched them play Hero/Heroine for 20 minutes. haha. Finally, after 6 hours or waiting in the fucking cold, and getting our picture taken for timesunion.com, they opened the doors and we made our way to the front, against the barrier and in the freaking center. so, I Nine was pretty good, even if they got all their equipment stolen around thanksgiving. Uh, MTV was filming, i didn't enjoy that. but, anywayssss, Matt White was okay. nothing i'm interesting in still listening to or seeing again. cliche songs. then Fly came on stage again. that was what pissed me off. Fly had to get onstage before every act. Finally, Boys Like Girls came on. ^_^ okay so the set? Hero/Heroine, Five Minutes to Midnight, Heels over Head, Broken Man, Thunder, Dance Hall Drug, Let Go, Me, you and my medication, On top of the world and The Great Escape i believe. i might have misplaced one song er something. After the show, if you bought their CD, you got to meet them. i bought the CD, but first, i begged the security guard for the pick that Martin tossed to the ground. the one he used to play Thunder. Which happens to be my favorite song. Then i went and bought a shirt before heading over the the long ass fucking line. So, i got my CD signed and said hi to Martin and Paul, then thanking John aka Beef for answering my question here on Buzznet a few months ago. He picked 6 questions out of god knows how many, and one of them was mine. ^_^. moral of the story: freezing my ass off in the cold weather was so worth it. Probably one of the best concert experiences i've had. It woulda been better if they invited us into the venue while they were eating their catered food, but one can only dream. ;) haha. pictures will be up when they're uploaded. =] anywhoooo, my life is boring and no one talks to me on this site. honestly, i don't know why i'm on it. Ecks Oh, Ecks Oh, Caitlin*

April 21, 2007Hey, what's going onnn?another one. wow. um, yeah, to everyone who is NOT my friend who leaves notes on my pages telling me to vote for them, i wish you the best of luck, but i won't vote for you. i vote for my friends only. i will not give you votes simply because you left me a note. i don't mean to sound like a bitch, but i just feel like people don't want to be friends, they just want votes and i don't go for that. but anyways, onto more important things. So, i entered a question for boys like girls through DJ Rosstar... PS. you should check out his show on idobi radio, but yeah, they picked 6 questions to answer and mine was one of them! how cool is thattt? check out the buzznet homepage to check out my question and how John answered it. it was pretty freaking cool. i feel proud of myself. ahah. but yeah, that's good for now. maybe another one in another 2 months? ahha. hopefully sooner. Signing off, Lovers & Liars Caitlin Elizabeth*

Hopefully some good bands will be coming around here. Well, I believe i'm going to go see Cute is what we aim for and Gym Class Heroes next month, so that's good. Should be some effin awesome shows.
